Bakery Tour

We went to a local bakery a few weeks ago with a few play group friends.  They read the kids a book, and then let them knead their own bread and shape it into whatever shape they wanted.  Then they were given a brief tour of the facility.  It was so much fun.

Here are the kids listening to the story.

And kneading their bread.

The kids went to a Mother's Day Out program at a church near our house two days a week this summer.  Each week there was a different theme.  One week they had a camping theme, so we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores that Friday night.  A rare sugar treat for my kiddos!

A new place opened up not long ago called Little Ninja's.  It's a obstacle course for kids.  Caden was a little too big for the little kid area and a little too small for the big kid area.  The kids had a blast, but they definitely needed some assistance trying the big kid obstacles.  Ms. Melanie helping Caden on the rope walk.

Caden and Zoe trying it from a different angle.

They had fun just playing in the foam pit, too.  Annabelle had fun, too, but unfortunately, I didn't get any good pictures of her playing there that day.

August Rundown and Annabelle's swim level graduation

I'm a little behind on posting.  I can't believe August is almost over!  Here's a run down of the last month.  The kids both got new beds.  We bought a bunk bed for Caden, and then Annabelle moved out of her toddler bed into a big girl bed (full size).  I have a few more sewing projects left to get Annabelle's room ready, so I'll post pictures of her room later.

Here's Caden's bunk bed.

The kids love climbing up the ladder.  Caden prefers to sleep on the bottom, though.

Nana and Great Nanny came over a few Friday's ago to celebrate Nana's birthday.  Here are a few pictures of the kids with Nana.

Annabelle fell asleep in the car on the way home from lunch, so it's just Caden and Nana in this picture with her cupcake.

A pic of the kids before we headed to lunch.

Annabelle graduated to the next level in swimming lessons a few weeks ago.  She is doing so well.  She can legitimately swim for 8-10 feet in our pool.  She loves to dive for toys and jump off the side.
