Caden's First Soccer Game

Caden is playing soccer in a real league for the first time.  Two years ago, he did a skills weekly camp at the Y, and it didn't go so well.  He's now excited about soccer and ready to play on a team.  He's on a team with friends from school.

Both teams lined up before the start of the first game.

Watching the first coin toss.  Caden is number 23 on the right.

Kick off!

Caden's first goal kick.

End of game huddle.

Caden and Annabelle after Caden's first practice.  Annabelle could not wait to give him a hug after practice.

I am so thankful that Caden is only in school part time this year.  It is so nice to still have days to go do fun things together.  Last week we went to the Perot Science Museum.  The kids climbing on the frogs out front.

The best part of the science museum is apparently the hand dryers.  LOL!

First Baylor Game

Baylor's season opener was here in Dallas at SMU this year.  The kids were so excited to go to their first NCAA football game.  Our whole family was decked out in Baylor attire!  I even convinced (or possibly guilted) Brian into wearing Baylor green and gold.  Hey, it's only fair; I've worn Longhorn shirts many times.

Ready for some football!

Annabelle was quite the cheerleader.  She did "sic 'em bears" every time!

The sun was pretty brutal.  Unfortunately, the kids were done about halftime, which was when the sun had set far enough to not be in our faces anymore.

I made Annabelle this bow to match her cheerleading outfit.

Caden discovered the baby video monitors.  He's very much into playing "spy".  When I was sitting at the table eating lunch last Sunday, I noticed someone was watching me...(notice the video camera on the second step down).

It's still been super hot.  We are missing our pool!  Good thing is everything summer related is on clearance, so we picked up a baby pool for super cheap at Target, and the kids are having fun splashing in it now.  Hopefully, all will go as planned, and we will have a real pool by next Spring!
