More Fall Break Fun!

We took the kids to Six Flags the day after we got back from Baylor, so it was a busy Fall Break weekend!  We purchased a season pass, and we had to pick it up by October 31st, so we just made our stay there short and sweet.

Ready for the first ride of the day.

The kids rode a few kids only rides.

Since we skipped the Ferris wheel at the fair, the kids insisted on riding the one at six flags.

Ready for another ride!

Silly girl!

Caden had another long weekend the week after Fall Break.  He was off from school on Friday for parent teacher conferences.  He's doing great and loving first grade!  His teacher only had great things to say about him.  He even got all 4's!

He loves reading on his new Kindle, and his reading skills are just increasing so quickly.  I love watching his progress.  He also loves math.  One night a few weeks ago, when I was tucking him in, he pulled out a blank sheet and wanted to start making up math equations.  He's been working on number bonds in class, so he wanted to do more.  About an hour later, I thought he was asleep, but he came out of his room to show me what he had done.  He's clearly the product of two accounting/math/finance minds :).

A few moms traded off watching the kids on the playground during our conferences.  I snapped a picture of Caden playing with his friends Andrew and Luke.

They found this cute little frog.

While we were at Covenant, Annabelle went to play with two of her friends.  Here's a pic of Belle, Cate, and Annabelle.

Caden played soccer again this Fall.  He is really enjoying it, and he is improving so much.  Here is a picture of his team lined up after the end of season trophy presentation.  Front row:  Cayden Link, Liam Fessler, and Press Dunlap, Back row: Caden, Camden Clark, Owen Jensen, Luke Baker, Cooper Dow, Logan Link, and Maverick Penley with Coach Dow in the back.

2016 Baylor Homecoming

Caden's Fall break at school fell on the same weekend as Baylor's homecoming, so we decided to head down to Waco.  We walked around campus on Friday night, and met up with Bob, Rebecca, and their kids for the Friday Night Extravaganza.  Then we were up bright and early for the parade Saturday morning, and then headed to the football game Saturday afternoon.

A family pic on Fountain Mall before the festivities started.

The kids loved seeing the bears.

A cousin pic in front of the fountain.

Clint Harp, the carpenter from Fixer Upper, was the Grand Marshall.

A few of the floats.

A family selfie before we crossed the bridge to the stadium.

The kids had fun in Touchdown Alley.  Caden threw the ball through the hole!

Annabelle was so excited about her face tattoo and the pompoms.

The kids with our brick in the "BU" in front of the stadium.

The kids watching warm ups.

The sun was pretty hot.  Brian and Annabelle spent most of the time in the concourse in the shade.  Caden and I enjoyed watching the game from our seats.

2016 Trip to the State Fair of Texas

Hunt had their annual picnic at the State Fair again.  The kids love it, and they now really enjoy the rides.  It was hot, so we made our trip short and sweet.

A pic with Big Tex.

The kids always love seeing the animals.  Annabelle loved the tiny piglets.

The kids liked petting this kid.

The kids riding a Monster Truck ride.

I took Annabelle to see the ballet Sleeping Beauty.  She loved it.
