Fall Break in San Diego —- Part 2

Wyatt and Luke were in school some of the days we visited, so we headed out to do a few "touristy" things on our own.  First stop was Old Town.

The hotel was decorated for Halloween.  Annabelle with one of the "guests".

Another morning, we went to the Midway.  I knew Caden would enjoy it, but Annabelle ended up loving it, as well.  A family selfie before we entered.

The kids completed the scavenger hunt and earned their "Junior Pilot" badge.

 

We also took the kids to the Birch Aquarium.  Annabelle with the whale statue out front.

Fall Break in San Diego —- Part 1

We headed to San Diego during the kids’ Fall Break. We spent one very full day at Disneyland.  It was so much fun, but we were all completely exhausted on the drive back to Kevin and Kelly's.

Our ride came to a screeching halt, due to some people in front of us breaking the rules.  Two cars bumped and their bumpers got entangled.  We sat in our car waiting for about 15 minutes.  Annabelle and Mommy making the most of our wait.

 

Finally, they came and asked us to exit the car to walk back.  I had to take a few pictures to document our unique experience.  This hassle scored us another fast pass!

Then we headed back to Disneyland for a few more rides and a photo op in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle.

Fall Fun

The Fall is just flying by; I cannot believe we are almost through the first quarter of school.  Annabelle absolutely loves being at Covenant with Caden.  Initially, she was in tears begging to go to school every day, but now we have settled into a nice routine with plenty of time to play with friends and enjoy being outside.

Annabelle and the other Tuesday/Thursday Explorers were able to hear a quartet from the Plano Sympony perform at school one day. 

 

The kids have been digging and making all sorts of things in our side yard.  Their latest project is a miniature golf "course".

Annabelle had another playdate with friends from school.  This time we went to the Arboretum to check out the Fall pumpkins and decorations.  The kids at the entrance:  Beckham Horan, Bennett Walker, Annabelle, Hadley Sullivan, Zoey Seale, and Audrey Thomason.
