First Day of First and Third Grade

I can't believe school is already starting.  The kids are excited for the year to start!  Several years now, we take our "first day of school" pics the day before, so that we aren't rushed.  Here are a few pictures in front of the house.

 

On the actual first day of school, Violet was dressed and ready to be in the pictures, too.

Legoland and Meet the Teacher

The kids chose to go to LEGOLAND our last full day of summer.  A picture at the entrance.  Annabelle, Hadley Tilger, Garrett Tilger, and Caden.

After a little kid knocked down their other fort, they started building another one on the other side. 

The next day was meet the teacher.  Mrs Kay and Annabelle.

Caden had a scavenger hunt to complete during meet the teacher.  One of the activities was to take a selfie with your Mom.

August Fun

Annabelle lost the first of her two front top teeth at the beginning of August.  She didn't want to smile for the camera.

 

Unless it was a selfie. 

 

I got away for a weekend staycation to Fort Worth with my two best friends from growing up.  A pic before dinner. 

 

Annabelle lost her second top front tooth at the pool.

Annabelle went to a one day cheer camp at school.  They did a little performance at the end of the day.  Annabelle and her friend Bailey Shannon before the performance. 

 

Annabelle started back to ballet the week before school started.  She was excited to start classes again. 

 

There are quite a few Covenant girls in her class, but here she is with Lily Pace and Laura Darley before the first class.
