Summer Day Camps

Caden did a Kidpreneur camp at Covenant one week, so Annabelle and I did a sewing camp at home.  She's been asking to learn how to sew for quite some time.  We decided to make an apron.  Annabelle ready to go.

Measuring and cutting.

Annabelle threading the machine.

Lining up the pockets.

We had plans to embroider an "A" on it, but we didn't end up doing that.

She was copying the Gingerbread dance from the Nutcracker, since that dance wears an apron for their costume.

Here's a picture of Caden playing a game at his camp.

The next week Annabelle went to an American Girl Doll camp.

Caden had another basketball tournament this past weekend.  His team ended up winning!

June Activities

Annabelle and Laura went over to Fort Worth at the start of June to watch the USA Gymnastics Championships.  A pic during warm ups.

Annabelle walked down to the front row to watch Simone Biles' bar routine.

We had great seats, but we moved over by the beam for Simone's routine.

The next night Annabelle and Laura went to see Dallas Ballet Company's spring ballet performance.  Starting in 4th grade next year, Annabelle will be able to perform in this production.

The kids had another swim meet last weekend.  Caden has missed several because of basketball, but he was able to compete in this one.  They both did a great job and continue to improve their times.  Freestyle is still Caden's favorite and best event.  He swam the 500 yd free for the first time, and had a BB time, and was super close to the A cut.

Annabelle still loves breast stroke, but her IM has really improved.  She now has BB times in multiple events, and she is so close to an A cut in the 100 breast.

Caden played in a tournament to start the season.

Some of the kids in the tournament were so big.
