Annabelle's Birthday Party

Annabelle wanted to have a slumber party for her birthday party.  Scheduling it was difficult, so we ended up not having it until late March.  The girls in the hot tub.  Left to Right: Stella Stimson, Katherine Kingsriter, Audrey Thomason, Hadley Sullivan, Hadley Tilger, Laura Darley, Presley Bass, Liv Larson, and Annabelle.

Annabelle started playing volleyball this spring.  She is loving it!

Annabelle played in Hoops in the Highlands, 3-on-3 basketball tournament over the weekend with one of Laura's tennis friend's daughters.  They came up just short losing in the championship game.  Left to right: Ashlyn Tompkins, Annabelle, Emery, and Ally Houser.

Librarian for the Day

We won Librarian for the Day at the auction this year.  Annabelle has been asking for this experience for several years now.  She was so excited to skip her regular classes, and spend the day working in the Grammar Library with Mrs. Covington.  The day started with carpool.

Scanning in returned books.

Shelving returned books.

She was allowed to invite a friend to help her during lunch.  Audrey Thomason was the friend she chose.

They even made her an official name tag.

Annabelle's Ear Piercing

I had told Annabelle that she could get her ears pierced when she turned 10, and since she's taking this season off from basketball, we decided to go ahead and do it.  Anxiously awaiting...

Last pic before being pierced.

March Madness

With both Baylor and KU playing in Fort Worth, I bought tickets for me and the kids to go to the second round NCAA tournament games.  Despite Baylor's loss, it was so much fun!  At least we still have one team to cheer for in the next few weeks!

Baylor warming up.

We were center court, right behind the camera man, which was pretty nice.  They didn't show many replays on the jumbotron, so it was nice to be able to see the tv replays over the camera man's shoulder.  BU vs UNC tipoff.

After a super long exhausting BU overtime loss, the KU game was ready to begin.

Spring Break - Charleston, SC: Part 3

We took a carriage ride the next morning.

We rode by the Powder Magazine.

After the carriage ride, we explored the area on foot.  Here's a pic at Market Hall.

We went inside the Powder Museum.  The kids had fun loading the canon and then playing a colonial ring toss game.

Annabelle and Caden in the stocks.

Annabelle and I found Becky's book in a local bookstore.

We took the ferry to Fort Sumter.

Annabelle helped fold the flag at the end of the day.
