Caden wrapped up his Logic sports career, as baseball season came to an end. He enjoyed the season, but he is probably done playing baseball. He just doesn't love it, like he does basketball and cross country. He spent the whole season playing 3rd base.

End of Baseball Season and 6th Grade Historical Figure Day
The team made it to the semifinal game in the playoffs. The grandparents were there to see them win their first round playoff game.
Annabelle had her historical figure day. She chose the only athlete on the list, Babe Didrikson Zaharias.

She did a great job with her presentation.
She agreed to take a pic with Mom.
Laura wrapped up another season of tennis with a win.

Caden is 14!
The Spring season of basketball is ramping up. Annabelle's team won a tournament last weekend.
Annabelle is still silly. She cut the pant legs off a pair of pjs to wear them as shorts, and she wrapped the pant legs around her head and legs. I finally convinced her to let me take her picture because it reminded me of the pic of the left.
Caden decided to invite some friends to Puttshack for his birthday. They had fun playing the games there.
Then they all came back to our house for cake.
It is crazy how much he has grown and changed in the last year. I made this collage with his 14th bday and 13th bday cake pics.
We recreated last year's height picture. Both kids have grown so much. Caden is now up to 5'10 1/2", and Annabelle's is 5'5".

Caden's 8th Grade DC Trip and Total Eclipse
Caden went on a trip to Washington D.C. with his entire grade. Unfortunately, he took very few pictures. The teachers sent a daily email saying what they did and saw each day with a few pictures.
He flew there on Sunday. When they arrived in DC, they went straight to the Museum of American History. And they also had a walking tour of DC that evening. Daniel shared this selfie with his mom...Jax Farrell, Preston Wilson, Daniel Crow, and Caden.
A group pic taken by the teachers. Caden is 3rd from the left on the second row.
Monday was the total eclipse in Dallas. It was really cool! DC only had a partial eclipse, but Caden still enjoyed seeing it. We enjoyed a total eclipse in Dallas. It was really cool!
Bear was a little confused when it went dark.
Monday Caden went to the Museum of the Bible, then they headed to Ford's Theatre. After lunch, they went to the National Cathedral, and then they watched the eclipse. Then they headed to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. That evening they went to Mt. Vernon, which is what Caden was probably looking forward to the most.
On Tuesday, they saw the Air Force Memorial, the Iwo Jima Statue/Marine Corps War Memorial, and then headed to the Capitol. After the Capitol tour, they went to the Air and Space Museum, the National Archives Museum, and the Spy Museum.
On Thursday, they headed to Arlington National Cemetary. Caden enjoyed it, and he actually took a few pictures there.
After Arlington Cemetary, they made a quick stop at the White House.
Then they headed to the Holocaust Memorial and Museum. Caden took this picture there.
They spent their last evening bowling. A pic of some boys at the bowling alley.

And a zoomed in pic of just the boys.
The teachers sent a few pictures at the end of the trip. Caden avoided the camera most of the week, but here are a few that he was in. A pic during their National Cathedral tour.
