Start of Summer

Caden and Laura joined Young Men's Service League, an organization of moms and sons volunteering together.  Our first volunteer opportunity was Meals on Wheels.

Several other Covenant boys are in our chapter.  Caden with Liam Fesler, Adam Thomason, Luke Thomason, and Gibson Walker.

We had a really bad storm this week.  Our neighborhood lost a lot of big trees and we were without power for several days.  We are thankful for our generator!

Caden and two buddies hosted a basketball camp for young Covenant kids.  They had a fun few days.

Mother's Day and End of 6th and 8th grade

Wow, I cannot believe another school year is coming to an end.  Annabelle had a fieldtrip to the Bush Presidential Library.  A few pics.

Some obligatory Mother's day pics.

One of Laura's tennis friend's daughter graduated from high school.  A pic at the graduation party.

Last day of school pic.

We hosted the 6th grade class' end of year party: a foam party!

After the party, a friend took Annabelle and a few girls to get their nails done!

Logic Awards Night

Caden brought home a lot of awards at this year's Logic Awards night.  First up was Cross Country.  Caden won Logic Cross Country MVP.  During his 8th grade XC season he set the Covenant middle school 2 mile record, and he was the top Covenant finisher at every race last season.

Then on to basketball awards.  Caden won the Red team MVP award.

After all the sports were finished, the AD came up to present the Knight Award for the best athlete, and Caden won!

During the academic awards Caden received recognition for his 1st place wins at JCL, and he received a certificate for his placement in the National Latin Exam.

We decided to make a book for Caden to remember his Logic Sports seasons.  A few highlights from the book.  Starting with 7th grade Cross Country.

7th grade basketball.

7th grade baseball, when he was MVP.
