State Champions!

The cross country teams headed down to Waco for the state championship meet.  We had a send off at school.  A pic of the managers, alternates, and runners.

Pre race huddle.

And they're off.

Maybe one mile into the race, Caden is pacing with Cade and Charlie, which is who he usually runs with for a good portion of the races.

Caden did great on a super tough course in very windy conditions, and he finished 16th.  He was the 4th Covenant kid to finish, and the team won by 60 points, which is incredible.

Pool Reno and Fall Break No Go

Sadly, a hurricane cancelled our Fall Break trip to Orlando.  We ended up just spending the week at home relaxing.  We are redoing the tile and plaster on the pool.  The tile is basically falling off.  Here are a few before pictures.

And the finished pictures.

A pic of Annabelle and some friends at school one day.

Homecoming is a few weeks away.  Caden asked a sophomore on the cross country team, so he, along with his junior cross country buddies, made this sign for her with their XC coach on it.

More Fall Sports

 Annabelle is still loving volleyball.

Caden had another meet two Saturdays ago.  This meet is really big, too.  It was hot and windy.

Coach gave the varsity boys the option to not run, but since Caden is so new to running the 5k, he chose to run and get more practice at racing this distance.  The 3 junior captains opted not to run this week, so Caden was the 2nd fastest Covenant runner; he finished with a time of 18:09, but the race was actually slightly longer than a 5k, so he was very pleased with his adjusted time.

Annabelle and Lilly went to the Fair and had fun!

Another Saturday, another race.  Caden was again the 4th fastest Covenant runner, and he finished in 17:59.

Annabelle has been working on her cell project for science.

She wouldn't look at me for a picture.
