Potty Training and Bluebonnets

Well, Caden is officially potty trained.  No one had told me what a royal beat down potty training was.  It was a ROUGH couple of days, but I'm pretty sure we've made it to the other side.  Really hoping what they say about girls being easier is true!

I took the kids up to north Richardson to try to take their pictures with the bluebonnets earlier this week.  It was a little bit of a hike from where we could park to where the flowers were, and I made a poor decision of leaving Annabelle's shoes in the car.  The ground hurt her feet, so she refused to stand up, and Caden for some reason refused to sit down, which made getting their pictures in one frame a little tricky with the lens that I took.

Tormenting his sister...

Caden needed to take a potty break before we drove home...he has a port-a-potty, like a construction worker :)

April

We've spent a lot of time over the past few weeks enjoying the awesome Spring weather.  This week has been pretty warm...close to 80...not quite ready for that; I'll take some more days in the 70's!

I took a few pictures at the park last Sunday afternoon.  My little climbers...

Annabelle loves to go doesn the slide.

Caden loves driving the fire truck at our park.

We've been taking quite a few walks around the block.  Annabelle can make it about 80% of the way around our block.

She refuses to leave her shades on.

My little basketball player.

Friday before last, we went with a few friends to the new park in downtown.  Brian's office overlooks it.  The kids had fun in the playground and eating from the food trucks.

Caden and two of his friends.  They were all three watching the construction worker behind them.

Earlier this week, we went with a few friends to play in the fountain area at the Arboretum.

Annabelle's 1 Year Pictures

Well, I'm a little behind on my posts.  We've had so much going on lately.  Here are a few of the best pictures from Annabelle's 1 yr professional pics.

Bahamas!

Thanks to the babysitting provided by Nana/Papa and Mimi/Tia, Brian and I enjoyed a six day trip to the Bahamas!  It was so beautiful and relaxing; we had a really great time!  The weather was between 70-75 day and night the entire time that we were there.  Unfortunately it was pretty windy, which limited some of the water activities that we had considered doing.  We did get to snorkel one day, which was fun.

Here's a picture of us right after dinner one night.

A self portrait on the beach.

There was a jogging trail on the property that followed the back nine of the golf course.  The views were amazing!

This was the view from our room.

I beat Brian in shuffleboard one night :).

Our last night.

The resort has photographers that walk around sometimes offering to take pictures.  He took a few of us on the beach one day, I was dying laughing at the cheesy poses that he was asking us to do.  This one really cracked me up...
