2015 State Fair of Texas

Annabelle and I made two trips to the fair this year.  We went for a few hours the Saturday that Brian and Caden were on their Adventure Guides campout.  Then Caden, Annabelle, and I headed back a week and a half later, because Caden really wanted to go, too.

First we headed to the Butterfly Discovery Garden.

There was a new children's area that was pretty fun.  The kids got to do spin art.

Caden's First Adventure Guides Campout

Caden and Brian joined an Adventure Guides tribe through our local YMCA with a group of Explorers from Covenant.  Their first "campout" was at Sky Ranch a few weeks ago, and they had so much fun!  Some of their tribe actually camped in tents, but Brian and Caden opted for the cabin.  They had a super busy weekend doing tons of fun things.  Caden was completely exhausted when he came home Sunday morning.

Throughout the maze there were stations where they could punch their cards.  They got all 8 punches!  

 

They made rockets that they got to launch.  Caden and Daddy with his rocket.

There was a ropes course.  Caden did great!  He was one of the few boys who could do the whole thing.

Arboretum Fun

Tiny Tot Tuesday is back at the Arboretum.  We have been two different Tuesdays over the last few weeks.  The kids have so much fun!

Face painting fun!

 

Last Spring Caden left his face paint on too long, and he ended up with a rash on his face.  Now he refuses to get his face painted anymore, so he opts for arm paint.  Me with my pink and purple kitty cat and my pumpkin.

Another trip with our friends Luna and Belle.

 

I tweaked my leg a little last month, and the kids begged to go to the chiropractor with me.  They love it there.  Annabelle being silly on one of the tables.

 

And we headed to the kids doctor for flu shots and an ear check.  Another double ear infection for Annabelle... After Annabelle put on her robe, Caden said, "Annabelle, you're a paper princess!"
