Caden's Last Day as an Explorer

Caden had a truly wonderful first year at Covenant.  We love everything about the school, and we are so thankful to be there.  I cannot believe this year is already over, and Caden is officially a FIRST GRADER!!!

Caden's class picture.  Back: Mrs. McKenzie; Standing: Grace Oberlender, Cade Crane, Camden Clark; Sitting: Garrett Tilger, Lily Rodriguez, Abby Breeding, Landon Cobb, Press Dunlap, Caden, Ainsley Walker, Adeline Monwai, and Andrew Collins.

The class gave this picture framed to Mrs McKenzie.

They signed cards with the above picture in it for each other.

After a snack, the kids got to play a few fun games, including a beach themed relay race.

And a game of "hot potato" with a beach ball.

Caden with Mrs McKenzie on the last day of school.  Mrs McKenzie was a wonderful teacher, and I'm thankful for her investment in Caden this year.  Mrs McKenzie sent me the nicest note about Caden.  Here is verbatim what she had to say,

"Dear Laura, It has been such a blessing to have Caden in class this year!  He is such a wonderful example to his peers with his quiet strength and self-motivation.  Caden is so focused, and I know he will always accomplish his goals.  He is so amiable and accommodating in every situation, and has such a positive outlook.  He is very forgiving in an unusually heartfelt way when need be.  What a dear child you are raising!  I will miss him very much.  Have a wonderful summer!  Love, Karen McKenzie"
