Tennessee and Virginia Vacation - Part Three

After a few days with friends, each family went their separate way.

We headed to Charlottesville, VA to see the home of Thomas Jefferson, Monticello.  We took a behind the scenes tour, which allowed us to see the second and third floors, in addition to the first floor, which the regular tour sees.  We weren't allowed to photograph most rooms, but they did allow us to take pictures in the dome room.

There was a little room off of the dome room that his oldest granddaughters liked to spend time in.

Checking out some of the areas where the slaves worked.

From Charlottesville, we headed to Williamsburg.  We started exploring Colonial Williamsburg in an old church building.
