We headed to Charlottesville, VA to see the home of Thomas Jefferson, Monticello. We took a behind the scenes tour, which allowed us to see the second and third floors, in addition to the first floor, which the regular tour sees. We weren't allowed to photograph most rooms, but they did allow us to take pictures in the dome room.
There was a little room off of the dome room that his oldest granddaughters liked to spend time in.

From Charlottesville, we headed to Williamsburg. We started exploring Colonial Williamsburg in an old church building.

Then we went over to Yorktown. We ran into a General Cornwallis impersonator.
Caden really enjoyed seeing all the battle locations and where cannons were placed and pointed.
