Fall Fun

We are getting used to having a dog.  Bear has been so great sleeping.  He cried a little the first two nights we had him, but since then he has been sleeping through the night.  I was pleasantly surprised by his good sleeping, because I have friends who have had puppies wake them in the night to go potty for weeks or months.  Bear fast asleep on my lap.

We hosted an auction party one Sat night.  A quick selfie during end of night clean up: Jenny Darley, Elise Harper, Laura, Tim Darley, and Hilary Baker.

Bear sleeps in his crate every night.  We currently are using the extra small size crate, and he's so cozy in the corner.  I'm sure he will out grow this size crate in no time, as I feel like he's growing so fast.

James is getting ready to move to Utah to be near Kevin and Kelly.  Brian brought him over to meet Bear and say goodbye to the kids.

I gave Bear his first bath this week.  He's so much smaller wet!

Fast asleep after he dried off.

We have been trying to work with him on basic training.  Here are a few pictures of Annabelle trying to get him to sit and come.

Laura's Fall tennis season has started again.

Puppy Pick Up!

The original date for puppy pick up was 9/4.  But the litter was having trouble weaning, so they pushed pick up day back a week.  Annabelle was disappointed because Nutcracker auditions were on the same day.  Caden and I drove up to Oklahoma to pick out our puppy, and Annabelle was just going to participate via Facetime.  Here is a collage of the latest pictures we have of the litter.

After a 3.5 hour drive, we made it to the breeder's house.  There were 5 puppies left from which to choose.  Annabelle had her heart set on a brown puppy, and there were two brown there.  Caden picked up this one right away, and we quickly knew this was the puppy for us.  He was the orange collared one in the center of the collage.

The kids had decided on naming him Bear.  He is so cute and tiny.  He weighs 4 pounds.

A few pics in the backyard when we got home.

He's so tiny.  It's hard to tell when he's going potty, because his stomach almost touches the ground.

You can see his size in relation to Brian's shoe.

Annabelle had a slumber party the night we brought Bear home.  Here's a pic of Annabelle with her friend's little sister, Juju.  She loves the little girls!

A pic from breakfast clockwise from bottom: Annabelle, Juju Kingsriter, Audrey Thomason, Katherine Kingsriter, Lilly Stueve, Presley Bass, Ann Holland Crow, a friend from Katherine's old school, and Brooklyn Kingsriter.

Annabelle was in love when she finally got home to meet Bear!

A few pictures of him playing in the backyard.

Bear loves Mommy already!

We set up this little play pen to keep him contained until he is potty trained.

First Day of 4th and 6th Grade

Wow, I can't believe the kids are already in 4th and 6th grade.  Caden is now in Logic School and wears a black sweater.  A few pics before opening chapel.  All four dolls have uniforms.

Annabelle has Mrs. Sosnowski this year.  A pic from meet the teacher

The day before school started, I had a tennis party at my tennis friend's sushi restaurant.  It was so fun, and the food was amazing!

I can't believe this is Caden's 7th first day of school, so he only has 6 left :(.

Caden gets to wear a polo to school 4 days a week.  He only has to wear the button up with his sweater on chapel day.

Annabelle has always been the entertainer of the family.  But she's been in rare form lately.  She has been using the xbox headset like a microphone.  Some days I feel like we live on a cruise ship with the entertainment during dinner every night.

I finally completed my office project.  I put up wallpaper and put the shelves up with the pictures of the kids in their 1-8 birthday shirts.
