School Auction and Annabelle's Birthday

Laura has been hard at work on the auction again this year for the 5th strait year.  Sadly, we didn't get any pictures of Brian and Laura together in their "Totally '80's attire".  Here's a pick with Hilary Baker and Laura by the past chairs thank you banner.

Angie Buja, Lindsey Walker, Robyn Tilger, Laura, and Mel Conner.

Somehow Laura missed the 6th grade mom picture, but here's a pic with some of the 4th grade moms.

A pic of the auction team.

We can't believe Annabelle is 10!   We won't have her party for a few weeks, but we celebrated with a cupcake this past weekend.

Nana and Papa were in town to celebrate.

Annabelle's SVAA team won the end of season tournament.  Brian took over coaching the girls this year, since Caden is no longer playing SVAA.  Back row: Brian, Annabelle, Elena Forsythe, Audrey Thomason, Hadley Sullivan, Finley (Makenna's soccer friend), Makenna Cleary, Mike Cleary, and then Sophia Lee in front.

Laura took Annabelle lunch and the class treats on her actual birthday.  A reluctant pic with Mom.

Annabelle got the American Girl bowling set for her birthday, and Caden enjoyed a game with her.

Caden brought this home from school.  Each kid in his Latin class was assigned 3 other kids to use one word to describe them.  His peers chose, diligent, thoughtful and self-controlled.  A very accurate description.

Presidents Day Weekend

The kids enjoyed another long weekend because of Presidents Day.  With the snow days, it feels like they've hardly been in school this month.  We met some friends at the Dallas Museum of Illusions on Monday.  Caden has gotten so big!

A mirrored room.

A kaleidoscope of Annabelles.

Caden faced some stiff competition when playing cards.

As did Annabelle.

Leaning Laura and Caden.

Annabelle standing on the ceiling and wall.

Annabelle and Makenna doing handstands on the couch!

Caden enjoying a tasty meal.

Caden's turn to be eaten.

Half Makenna, half Annabelle.

Half Hadley, half Annabelle.

The kids enjoyed this room.

The kids thought the videos were hilarious.

Extra large Hadley and tiny Makenna and Annabelle!

February Fun

We celebrated Brian's birthday with a cupcake after driving kids around to activities all evening.

Laura went with some of her tennis friends to the first Dallas Open.  It was so fun to watch the professionals up close and personal.  She went with a big group and watched several matches on Thursday with Shelly Tompkins, Laura, Evi Freeman, Liz McCrary, Katherine Rader, and Heather Evetts.

She headed back for the semi-finals on Saturday with Evi.

It was fun to be able to cheer on former Baylor tennis player Jenson Brooksby.

And then we watched the doubles semi with Jack Sock and John Isner.

Annabelle had her Valentine's Day party.

Caden is still enjoying playing Elite basketball.  He's played in a few games with the 7th grade boys.  In one of their games, he came across this super tall kid last week.  Hard to believe this kid is in 7th grade!

Daddy Daughter Dance, Basketball Tournaments, & Snow

Annabelle and Brian went to the Daddy Daughter Dance at school.  Annabelle was excited it was back on after being off last year. Annabelle is getting so big!  She wore a pair of my shoes to the dance.  They were a little big, but better than buying a pair of shoes she'll never wear again.

The girls with their dads, but somehow Brian missed the pic.

The 4th grade girls...back row: Annabelle, Audrey Thomason, Katherine Kingsriter, and Lisette Kelly; middle row: Liv Larson, Stella Stimson, Lilly Pace, Abby Hawk, Lily Stueve, Presley Bass, Elana Forsythe, Anais Arcucci, Hadley Sullivan, Hannah Ratliff, and Makenna Cleary; front row: Zoey Seale, Lilly Thompson, Adelaide Breed, Ann Holland Crow, and Laura Darley.

Caden's team is just playing tournaments this season.  They were runners up last weekend.

The kids got a few days off school for ice/snow.  We are thankful for neighbor friends that we can still play with even when the roads are bad.  Audrey, Laura, and Annabelle.

Bear loved the snow!

More ice sledding the next day.
