Family Reunion in Branson

The Juillerat and Trout families decided to have a family reunion and meet in Branson, MO.  It was great to see everyone and spend a few days together.

The entire time we were there, Annabelle had a baby on her hip.  Ruby, Annabelle, and Laura.

One afternoon, we went over to Top of the Rock.  The kids and Jeffrey.

The views were beautiful!

They had a lost canyon cave and nature trail.  You had to rent a golf cart to drive along the path.  A pic with the sign.

This part of the Lake of the Ozarks is called Table Rock.  You can see the layers of rock here at this little waterfall.

The kids had another fun season of swim team.  Caden swam three events in the first meet at JCC.  He finished 1st in the 4x25 freestyle relay (1:13:57), 2nd in the 25 free (16.66), and 2nd in the 25 fly (24.41).  Annabelle swam three events also; she finished 1st in the 4x25 freestyle relay (1:39:96), 16th in the 25 free (26.12), and 2nd in the 25 breast (33.03).

The second meet of the season, at T-Bar-M, was postponed because of weather.  Unfortunately, Caden was unable to swim because of a baseball tournament.  Annabelle swam against a friend from school, Hannah Ratliff.  Annabelle swam four races; she finished 5th in the 4x25 freestyle relay (2:26:00), 4th in the individual 25 free (25.50), 4th in the 25 breast (35.78), and 7th in the 25 fly (45.95).

The third meet of the season was at DCC, and both kids swam four races.  They did not allow anyone to dive at the start, which caused slower times than normal.  Annabelle finished 4th in the 4x25 freestyle relay (1:40:74), 11th in the 25 free (33.40), 4th in the 25 breast (33.40), and 5th in the 25 fly (33.73).  Caden finished 1st in the 4x25 freestyle relay (1:29.31), 6th in the 25 free (20.85), 1st in the 100 IM (1:55.99), and 1st in the 25 back (22.38).

The fourth meet of the season was at DAC.  Annabelle placed 1st in the 4x25 freestyle relay (1:55.68), 6th in the 25 free (26.62), 5th in the 25 back (37.41), and 2nd in the 25 breast (39.06).  Caden finished 1st in the 4x25 freestyle relay (1:31.19), 3rd in the 25 free (19.03), 5th in the 100 IM (1:58.88), and 2nd in the 25 back (27.01).

The final meet of the season was the Dallas Summer Swim League Championships.  Caden placed 1st in the 4x25 freestyle relay (1:12.93), 1st in the 25 free with a personal best 15.69, 5th in the 100 IM with a person best 1:44.11, and 2nd in the 25 back with a personal best 21.93.  Annabelle placed 2nd in the 4x25 freestyle relay (1:29.71), 19th in the 25 free with a personal best 23.20, 4th in the 25 back with a personal best 24.47, and 11th in the 25 breast (32.32).

I've been wanting to paint something for the entry hallway for quite some time.  I finally got around to doing it.

June activites

The kids had fun making geodes.

Annabelle had her friends Audrey and Laura over for a play date, and they enjoyed tea on the deck.

We had a huge storm come through that had ping pong size hail and wind gusts up to 72 mph.  It tore parts of our roof off the house and into our pool.

One of my tennis friends, who lives a few streets over, lost this tree.  Fortunately, it fell into the street, instead of her house.

Our neighbors across the street lost the big tree in their front yard.  Caden enjoyed watching them take it down.

We headed over to Fort Worth one day to go to the zoo with Meredith and Jonah.

Caden wrapped up another season of baseball with a tournament mid month.

Caden played some summer league basketball this year.

One day I was up at the club eating lunch after tennis, and my neighbor called saying that water was gushing out of our backyard.  the lid broke off this piece of the pool equipment.  Thankfully, a Dallas Water Utility guy just happened to be driving by and noticed the water.  He went in our yard and turned off the pool equipment.

The pool had already drained down to this point.  If it had drained completely, it would've ruined our equipment.

Nana and Papa came over for a day to go to a swim meet.  We also headed to the Dallas World Aquarium.

Annabelle and I did some painting one day.

My works are now hanging in our hall.
