Start of Quarantine

We came home from spring break to a strict at home quarantine, thanks to COVID 19.  Spring Break was extended a few days to give the teachers time to prepare to teach online.  Here's a pic of Annabelle on her Kindle for zoom school.

We have plenty of time to do different activities around the house.  The kids had fun making slime one day.

We've been going stir crazy, so we stopped by the Baker's house to say hello.  We discovered that if you google certain animals, you can add them to your pictures.

We've been spending a lot of time putting together puzzles.

The painters have started their prep work at the new house.  The master closet.

The built ins in the back family room.

The made a spray paint station with plastic.  After they spray the cabinet doors, they hang them to dry.

While we were out of town for spring break, they stained the floors.  Before the painters covered them, I took a few pics from the doorway, as we weren't supposed to walk on them yet.

Annabelle is big enough to ride to the lake now.

Spring Break: Rough Creek Lodge

This was our first time visiting Rough Creek, and we really enjoyed it.  It was nice to have friends there, too.

Every afternoon the zipline and rock climbing tower was open.  The kids loved it.  Caden getting hooked up and ready to go.

I recorded this birds eye view video of Caden and me going down together.

The kids had fun fishing.  Annabelle with one of the fish she caught.

Annabelle was so excited to go horseback riding!

A selfie on the trail.  Poor Annabelle was frustrated because she got the oldest and slowest horse.  You can't see her here, but she's bringing up the rear.

More canoeing.  Annabelle with Natalie and Lena.

Caden caught some fish, but I guess I didn't get a picture of his.

Spring Break: Fossil Rim

With the house taking so much of my time and energy, I just didn't have it in me to plan a big spring break trip.  A friend mentioned a week or two ago that they were going to Rough Creek Lodge for a few days, and they asked if we wanted to join them.  With Covid 19 starting to shut down some travel, we were thankful to be able to get away for a few days.  We started our trip driving through Fossil Rim Wildlife Park.

The ostriches were very aggressive.  Brian left his window up.  I made the mistake of trying to feed one, and it bit my finger.

The giraffes grabbed an entire bag of food from the sunroof of a mini van in front of us, so he had no interest in coming near us for food.

The zebras were hungry!

Annabelle had fun hanging out the sunroof.
