Annabelle's 2nd Grade Living History Day: Ancient Greece and Rome

The second graders travel back to Ancient Greek and Roman times during their Living History Day.  This is one of our favorite days of the year!

Annabelle and Violet ready to go to school.

A class photo.

Audrey's mom was playing the flute as the children arrived.

Mommy, Annabelle, and Violet.

The opening ceremonies.

Annabelle's class then headed over to storytelling.

Then on to mosaics.

The girls in her class: Annabelle, Zoey Seale, Audrey Thomason, Anais Arcucci, and Lily Thompson.

Another class pic.  Back row: Cameron Colquitt, Hutch Giddens, Jonah Simmons, Hamilton Raindl, Carl Morriss, and Annabelle.  Front row: Anais, Audrey, Lily, and Zoey.

Annabelle with her arm around Carl was so cute.  He's a sweet friend, and his dad was a dear friend of mine at Baylor.  So I had to pull an old college pic out of Marcus and me.

Then on to pottery "painting".

A few pics on the chariots.

Time to try some food from Ancient Roman times.

Learning some dance moves.

A video of their dance.

Then outside to games.  Annabelle arm wrestling Zoey.

Annabelle's long jump.

Annabelle's "javelin" throw.

The girls lined up for a race.

Listening to the instructions about the aquaduct.

Annabelle and Mommy at lunch.

A pic with the Darley's.
