Caden's 1st month

I can't believe Caden will be one month old tomorrow.  He's tipping the scales at 8lbs now; he's a little guy.  At his last checkup, he was in the 82nd percentile for height & only the 25th percentile for weight.  Hopefully, his weight gain pace will pick up a little this next month.

He went out to a restaurant last night for his first dinner out on the town.  He did great.  We were glad b/c I definitely needed to get out of the house.

Caden's 1st two weeks

Caden is two weeks old today.  We're adjusting to less sleep.  The first week was pretty rough, but the past few days have been much better.

We borrowed a pink swaddling blanket from a friend.  It works like a charm; we need to go buy a blue one for Caden.  Here he is still swaddled.

Caden James was born on April 23 at 11:57am.  He weighed 7lb 11oz and was 20in long.

39 Weeks

Well, this is the last pregnancy post.  Here are pictures from the last two weeks.  He'll be here tomorrow, and we'll get to post pictures of the little guy!

37 Weeks

We've passed the 37 week mark, so he's officially full term.  At our last sonogram at 36 1/2 weeks, they estimated that he was 7lbs. 3oz., which will put him at about 8 1/2 lbs at 39 weeks when our c-section is scheduled.  Of course, those estimates can be off by quite a bit.  We have another sonogram scheduled on Apr 21 to check if he is still breech.  If he is, we'll go ahead with the c-section on the 23rd.  Here are a few belly bump pictures over the past few weeks.

33 Weeks

It's been a busy few weeks.  Some friends threw us a couples shower on Feb. 20.  Below is a picture of me with the hostesses.  We have another shower on Mar. 24th.

Well, we have roughly seven weeks to go.  I have another sonogram on Mar. 22 to see if he's still breech.  From the frequency of kicks in the bladder that I'm feeling, I'm afraid he's probably still head up at this point.  Below is a 33 week baby bump picture. 

I spent most of the day yesterday working on the letters that we're going to hang above the crib.  Each letter of his name is painted with the same argyle pattern that coordinates with the nursery decorations.  Below is one of the letters.

Brian gave me the sweetest little pj's for Valentine's Day.  They'll fit him next winter, and I can't wait to see how cute he is in them.

 

29 Weeks

It was a big week this week.  Dallas had a record snowfall of 12.5"; although I would guess that we had closer to 8ish" at our house.  Here's a picture of our backyard.

Nanny bought us our swing, which we have yet to put together.  Our gift from Carlee and Kathleen arrived about a week ago.  They were so kind to buy us our stroller.  I'm excited to see how it feels running with it.  One of our friends was super generous and bought us our car seat.  Here's a picture of the infant carrier snapped into the stroller.

Last weekend I sewed the valance for our little guy's room, and we hung the mirror over the dresser.  Our glider arrived this week.  Here's a picture of what the nursery looks like with those additions.

I just finished 29 weeks.  He is roughly 15.5 - 16" in length and 2 1/2 - 3 lbs.  I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, so we'll see if I'm still measuring big.  My waist has grown 2.5", since I measured it 4 weeks ago when Carlee and Kathleen were visiting.  Here's a bump picture.
