Christmas Chapel and Caden's First Piano Recital

Our December has been busy, as usual.

Christmas Chapel was the first week of December.  Annabelle and the Explorers sang "Friendly Beasts".  Annabelle is 4th from the left in the front row.

Caden and the 2nd graders recited from Matthew.  Caden is in the very center of the next to last row.

Nana and Papa came over to go to the ICE Exhibit at the Gaylord Texan.  A picture with the trains at the hotel.  Annabelle looks thrilled to be having her picture taken ;).

Papa, Nana, Annabelle, and Caden before we headed to the back of the hotel for the ice exhibit.

A selfie with the girls.

The theme was "Twas the Night Before Christmas".  My iPhone took horribly blue pictures, unfortunately.  The better lit pics are from Nana's camera.

"...Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;..."  Annabelle and Papa with the sleeping mouse in a tea cup.

"...The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, ..."

"...The children were nestled all snug in their beds, ..."

Annabelle and Papa with some snowmen.

Santa and his sleigh.

Papa, Annabelle and Caden in snowflakes.

The ice Christmas tree.

Annabelle, Papa, Caden, and Laura with an ice angel.

The last scene in the exhibit is a nativity.  It's beautiful!

We stopped for a treat to warm us up after the exhibit.

Caden had his first piano recital.  He played "Deck the Halls", and he did a great job!  Caden performing a duet with his teacher.

A family pic after the recital.

My spare time these days is spent planning and organizing the school's March auction that is fast approaching.  The auction chairs, Lena and Danielle, and next year's auction chairs, Hilary and me, sampled the food we will be serving this year.
