Easter Weekend In Boston, Part 1

The kids had a long weekend off from school for Easter, so we headed to Boston.  Caden loves learning about early American History, so he was excited about the trip.

On the plane ready to go.

After we arrived at our hotel, we walked over to the Public Garden and Boston Common.  Caden and I with the George Washington statue in the background.

Unfortunately, the pond with the swan boats was drained, presumably for winter still.  A selfie in the garden.

The kids on the Make Way For Ducklings statues.

The next day, we headed to get lobster for lunch.  A statue in front of the restaurant.

Then we headed over to the Boston Tea Party Museum.  It started with a part story telling/part reenactment of the event in a meeting room.  "Sam Adams" speaking to us.

We each received a card to pretend to be one of the men who participated that night.

Headed out to the boat.

Learning more about that night.

The ship below deck.

You were able to throw "tea" overboard yourself.  The kids refused to actually throw it, but here's a pic of Caden picking it up.

Annabelle's and Daddy's turn.

A picture at the entrance on our way out.

It was raining, so we headed to the Children's Museum.  Caden playing basketball on the funny backboards.

The kids pulling themselves up the pully

The kids, Annabelle especially, had so much fun dancing in front of the green screen to be in an episode of "Arthur".

There was a whole area with play construction stuff.  Preschool Caden would have loved it; almost 8 year old Caden had fun, but was kind of too old for it :(.  A pic in the skid steer.
