Grandparents Day 2018

April has been a busy month.  Caden had a presentation at school the week after we got back from Boston.  And then Grandparents day was the following week.  The kids love showing off what they've been working on all year.

Caden's class read Charlotte's Web this year.  They each chose a chapter to present a diorama on.  Caden chose Chapter 4: Loneliness.

Audrey Thomason ("Christopher Columbus"), Annabelle, and Brook Cunningham ("Renaissance Painter") lined up before the program.

The second graders sang "Fifty Nifty United States" and "This Land is Your Land", since they studied the states in geography this year.

Caden is second from the left on the second row.

The Explorers sang "The Timeline Song", which was written 10-15 years ago by Caden's Explorer teacher's son, when he was in 6th grade.

The kids showed their grandparents an art display, their library, and their classrooms.  Annabelle was so excited to show them some of her work.

Caden started baseball season a few weeks ago.  He hit his first homerun this weekend.  Unfortunately, I missed hitting the button to record it.  Here he is ready to hit.

Hilary and I went sans husbands to an auction rsvp Crawfish Boil.  It was fun!

Annabelle and I went to check out the new Crayola Experience with a few friends.  The girls had fun.  Annabelle, Bailey Shannon, and Hadley Sullivan.

One of the activities was to color either a dress or a racecar, and then upload it to their computers to be displayed on their screens.  Bailey, Annabelle, Audrey Thomason, and Hadley coloring their dresses.

The girls anxiously awaiting their drawings.
