Ireland and Scotland Trip - Dublin, Part 1

Brian and I headed to Ireland (Dublin) and Scotland (Glasgow & Edinburgh) for our big kid-free vacation this year.  Neither of us had ever been there.  We really enjoyed our entire trip.

Ready for take off.

After checking in to our hotel, we headed to Kilmainham Gaol.  We are ready for the start of the tour.

The chapel in the prison.

Brian outside one of the cells.

The hallway where all the cells of the 1916 fight for independence leaders were held before the British executed them.

Then we headed over to Jameson Distillery.  It was raining, so we had to find things to do inside.  A selfie in the entry area.  Notice the chandelier; it's made out of Jameson bottles.  I knew nothing about making Irish Whisky, so the tour was interesting.

Another indoor activity...we headed over to the Guinness Storehouse and Museum.

The top floor of the museum had 360 degree views of the city.  It was beautiful.

A beautiful sunset from the Millennium Bridge.
